The Quest is our favorite Salomon boot since the company re- leased the SPK. It’s a light, high-performance two-piece boot made for big-mountain shredding. The Quest series is available in an assortment of flex strengths and configurations, but we particularly like the Quest 14. Its 130 flex is strong enough for the hardest chargers looking to explore big lines in the backcountry, while its relatively light weight makes hiking to lines a breeze.
