Simply put, these shades are pretty high-tech. The front of the frame is constructed from machined aluminum while the ear stems are comprised of ultra-lightweight carbon fiber. Hinging the two are a pair of titanium alloy hinges that will slightly hyperextend if needed and a 6 base lens curvature helps define the great optics that Oakley is known for. All this tech is molded into a package that hugs the face comfortably.
