Much like the dual-bodied character from Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome that shares its name, the Masterblaster has what J calls a “split personality.” It burns down groomers like a Formula One racecar but is maneuverable and playful when called upon. A rigid maple wood core with a strip of Titanal accounts for its burly quality. However, the Titanal is only six centimeters wide and is excluded from the tip and tail for a lighter swing weight. One tester got into specifics, noting, “It can tail press 100 yards over a roller, then immediately bounce into a shoulder-touching 17-meter turn.” Welcome to Thunder Dome.
