FISCHER RANGER 98 Ti REVIEW — 2017

The title of “Ranger” is reserved for the most badass among us. Think about it: Army Rangers; the Stanley Cup-winning 1994 New York Rangers; Walker, Texas Ranger; the Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers. The Fischer Ranger 98 Ti is no exception. It quite simply has it all. Its milled wood core lightens the load (like, touring-ski light), while carbon fiber in the tip adds low-density strengthening. Titanal inserts underfoot up the rigidity, and the use of burly beech and lively poplar wood yields top-notch versatility. Reiterating our earlier point, one tester stated, “This ski is badass. Can’t say a bad thing about it. It simply does it all.”
