The new Black Diamond Recon X beacon has a 60-meter search range and soft touch contact points for easier handling. Most notably, the three-antenna beacon with multiple burial flagging can connect to the PIEPS Smartphone App to manage settings, firmware, etc. The brand also claims that the Black Diamond Recon X doesn’t interfere with your smartphone, however we still recommend keeping them 20cm/eight inches apart when transmitting and 50cm/20 inches when searching.
