CR’s first drawing looked nothing like a ski, but to him it was just numbers that needed a home. The result was our first tapered-sidecut, rocker design. I’ll never forget the test day up at The Bird that spring when he said prior to releasing his heels at the by-pass road, “number 2, that’s the one right there.”
