Press Release, Red Bull Media House:

Red Bull Media House and MSP Films are proud to unveil the latest trailer for their upcoming ski film, Days of my Youth, coming in September 2014. This new, exciting preview is available to view now at www.redbull.com.

Days of my Youth examines skiing as a way of life, offering a glimpse into the journey of self-discovery that every skier takes. Traveling the globe, the film looks through the lens in a new way and captures moments that define the cutting-edge of what is possible on skis. From nearly impossible descents in Alaska to massive terrain features with U.S. Olympian Bobby Brown, Days of my Youth showcases the best action of the last two years all rolled into one incredible film. With narration from the famed and prolific Alan Watts alongside profound insights from modern-day skiing superstars, this movie defines what it means to be a skier.

The world premiere of Days of my Youth will take place Friday, September 12th at the Boulder Theater in Boulder, CO. A limited number of tickets are now on sale and available at www.bouldertheater.com. Immediately following the world premiere, the movie will tour North America and the rest of the world. Beginning October 2014, the film will be available to purchase worldwide on DVD & Blu-ray, iTunes, Google Play and more.

“This is the first time in over 20 years of making ski films that we’ve had the luxury of taking 2 full winters to capture the action and really focus on our creative direction,” says executive producer Murray Wais. “We couldn’t be happier with the support from our sponsors and athletes who made this come to life.” Days of my Youth is supported by Mountain Hardwear, Subaru, Swatch, Powder, GoPro, and Oakley.

Shooting all over the world – including the far reaches of Svalbard, Norway and Peru’s Cordillera Blanca range – the film takes the viewer on an unparalleled cinematic experience utilizing the latest in aerial filming technology, the Cineflex Elite. By working with a small, intimate cast of the best skiers in the world, the film dives deeper into what skiing means for each individual athlete. Richard Permin, Mark Abma, James Heim, Michelle Parker, Cody Townsend, Markus Eder, Bobby Brown, Sam Anthamatten, and others make up an all-star cast, with a very special appearance by freeskiing pioneer Bobbie Burns.

“We are honored to partner with MSP on this unique project,” says Scott Bradfield, Head of Production at Red Bull Media House. “The result is a film that truly captures the feeling of being a skier and why people dedicate their lives to it in a way no other movie has done to date.”
