We’re not sure how this video eluded us, but today we’re bringing you the highlights from the epic show that ensued in Åre, Sweden at this year’s Jon Olsson Invitational. Yet again, Mr. Olsson hosted a spectacular show, showcasing one of the largest jumps our sport has ever built. The invited athletes put on a show all week-long, boosting triples and floating doubles above the constant crowd of spectators. At the end of the competition, it was Fabian Bösch of Switzerland that claimed the victory in the big air showdown, Bobby Brown continued his hot streak, finishing in second place, and Torin Yater-Wallace proved that he is a force to be reckoned with, even outside of the halfpipe, taking third place.
Above, you’ll find a highlight video from the weekend’s finals—due to poor weather, the competition was held on the “small” jump that Olsson’s crew had built in reserve.
Below, see some of the quick hitting highlights from the week, such as Jesper Tjäder’s guinea pig on the kicker, Bobby Brown’s Triple backflip and more.
Always wanted to try this! haha
