Backcountry smiles galore in Smith’s “Life Beyond Walls: Golden Days” episode

What happens when you take four of skiing’s leading female athletes and put them in a cabin deep in the backcountry near Golden, British Columbia? Awesomeness, that’s what.

Last March, armed with the essentials (skins, skis, avy gear, food and Patron…), pro skiers Amie Engerbretson, Hadley Hammer and Rachael Burks, along with big-mountain guide Jess Baker, did just that while filming for Smith’s Life Beyond Walls series. And, as the resulting Golden Days episode depicts, the times that followed were nothing short of awesome. With an abundance of dance-parties, powder-filled lines and smiles, these ladies got the goods.
