All-around badass, Nick McNutt is the latest professional skier to officially join Sony’s Action Cam team. The 2014 IF3 “Rookie of the Year” had a heck of a season last year, so it is no surprise that Sony decided to ink a deal with him. Be on the lookout, I’m sure that we can expect to see plenty of awesome content coming from the big mountain all-star as the season progresses.

Sony, a worldwide leader in digital imaging, proudly welcomes professional skier Nick McNutt to Team Action Cam. McNutt’s performance in TGR’s Almost Ablaze earned the Whistler based skier an IF3 “Rookie of the Year” Award and he took home “Breakthrough Performance” honors at the Powder Awards.

Nick joins fellow skiers Sage Cattabriga-Alosa, Ian McIntosh, Dash Longe, Angel Collinson, Tim Durtschi and Nick Goepper on Team Action Cam, as well as numerous action sports legends and innovators including Tony Hawk, Ricky Carmichael, Danny Davis, Sebastien Zietz, Nigel Sylvester and others.

“I’m thrilled to be a part of Team Action Cam. I’m always filming and Sony Action Cam lets me capture and share my adventures with my fans and the skiing community,” says McNutt. “I’m especially looking forward to shooting with the new 4K model.”

“We are privileged to have Nick McNutt as part of our family, our technology allows him to showcase his skiing from a truly unique perspective” said Patrick Huang, director of the Action Cam business at Sony Electronics. “Action Cam’s compact, streamlined designed combined with class-leading image stabilization and outstanding picture and audio quality give Nick infinite possibilities to share his adventures.”

In addition to signing leading action sports athletes and content creators like Nick, Sony’s Action Cam has also cultivated resort partnerships, event sponsorships and launched the interactive microsite www.sony.com/actioncam.
