This Summer’s warm temps will not end the chance for great skiing. Perisher Resort, a go-to location for summer shredding, is set to open early on Friday, June 5. Per usual, the resort will open with some awesome terrain; including 11 lifts and two terrain parks.

A recent dumping of 30cm of snow and perfect snow making conditions will allow the resort to open in pristine shape.

To celebrate the first day of skiing, the resort’s Peak Festival will kick off with over 120 performers. The long opening weekend will also give skiers the ability to ski three days for the price of two($149). With the awesome skiing, Peak Festival and a great deal on skiing this will not be a weekend to miss.

Perisher Opens Early with 11 Lifts This Weekend

After 30cm of fresh snow and perfect snowmaking conditions this week, we are opening our 2015 snow season early, on Friday 5 June.

Friday morning will see the opening of the Village 8 Express Chairlift and a beginner Skier Conveyor on Front Valley. Saturday morning will see the opening of 11 lifts across Perisher Valley and Smiggin Holes.

We’ll also have two terrain parks open including the Playstation Slopestyle Park and Yabby Flat Park, and the Perisher Express Quad will continue to the top of Perisher Valley for foot passengers looking to check out the beautiful sights.

This opening weekend you can ski and board all three days for the price of two. Make the most of 11 lifts across Perisher and Smiggin Holes with the possibility of more as conditions improve with snow in the forecast and fantastic snowmaking conditions. There will also be two terrain parks open to cater for all ages and standards of skiers and boarders.
