A recent press release notes:
“The prevalent föhn winds have made it unavoidable: The Nine Queens presented by O’Neill will happen two weeks later than originally planned and will move to Italy. Due to the unnaturally warm temperatures over the last weeks, the snow machines in Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis were unfortunately unable to produce enough snow in the newly established valley venue of the legendary fairytale castle, which required tens of thousands of cubic meters of snow and is the trademark of the cult-event. Moving the event to Livigno from the 26th to the 30th of March has ensured that the event will still take place in the most epic way possible.”
As you’ll recall, the 2013 iteration of Nine Queens kicked ass in a big way; you can watch the highlight video here.
