FREESKIER and Matchstick Productions announce exclusive media partnership

FREESKIER is thrilled to announce its new partnership with Matchstick Productions (MSP), in which FREESKIER will be MSP’s exclusive North American media partner.

For almost 20 years, FREESKIER and MSP have worked side-by-side creating and distributing trend-setting content about the athletes, destinations and events fueling skiing. Now, the companies are taking the relationship one step further, working collaboratively on producing and distributing content through their combined media channels.

“MSP is renowned for producing some of the most mind-blowing video content in the space,” says FREESKIER Editor Henrik Lampert. “And we at FREESKIER are the leaders in the print and digital environments. By working together, we’ll ensure that skiers around the world get to see all of the exciting videos, photos and stories that MSP and FREESKIER produce.”

FREESKIER’s digital and social channels are the largest and most influential in the industry, reaching more than two million unique ski enthusiasts every month. Through this partnership, select MSP content will be distributed through FREESKIER’s channels, ensuring that it reaches more skiers than ever before.

Last December, FREESKIER worked with MSP to promote and distribute its video of Cody Townsend’s famed line “The Crack.” FREESKIER reached more than 3.5 million unique users through its Facebook post alone, a testament to the symbiosis of great content and a great channel. The companies are looking forward to driving more great content and impressions in 2015 and beyond.

In addition to behind-the-scenes stories from MSP’s fall ’15 film and its athletes, readers of the magazine and visitors to freeskier.com can expect exclusive photo and video content leading up to and following its release. FREESKIER will also join MSP on parts of the North American film tour, distributing magazines and complimentary subscriptions at each screening.
