UPDATE: Day 16 Cycle For A Cause

When we last left our favorite charity riders, they were in the town of Seaside, OR preparing to make their way across the California state line. More than 700 miles and 13 days later, team ‘Cycle For A Cause’ now find themselves in beautiful San Francisco where they’re enjoying only their 2nd day off of beautiful highway 101.

So what have we learned over these long, sloping and at times rain soaked miles?

The Oregon coast is ridiculously beautiful and while riding through the town of Astoria (where they shot ‘The Goonies’) nearly everybody found their inner ‘Chunk’ or ‘Data.’

Once everyone got to the town of Trinidad the weather turned and made the 60 mile ride to Redcrest nearly unbearable. In fact Max said it was the one of the hardest sections thus far on the trip.

All of the flat tires, poor weather and steep climbs were worth it once everyone joined together and rode across the Golden Gate Bridge. Max and others agreed that pedaling across the famous Golden Gate and eating dinner with Sherry McConkey later that night made for one hell of a day.

Next up the crew heads down to Santa Cruz where they’ll meet up with Cody Townsend on their way to San Diego.
