“Sarah’s passion and memory is all around,” said Sarah’s husband and Foundation President, Rory Bushfield. “Our partnership with Activyst aims to keep her legacy and spirit alive by supporting others in sport.”

T-shirts can be purchased at activyst.com, for $32, with $10 of that going directly to the Sarah Burke Foundation.

Press Release, Los Angeles, California and Vancouver, British Columbia, February 3, 2014:

The Sarah Burke Foundation, a non-profit organization formed in honor of the late world champion skier, Sarah Burke, has teamed up with Activyst, a company that creates female athletic apparel and supports girls’ sports worldwide.

Together, they have designed a special edition t-shirt to honor Sarah and enable more girls to participate in winter sports. The special edition slogan tee is available on www.activyst.com for $32. It features one of Sarah’s favorite messages, “Dream without fear”, as well as her signature. $10 of each t-shirt will go directly to the Foundation, where it will fund scholarships for girls pursuing a future in competitive skiing.

Sarah Burke was a fearless competitor and a trailblazer. When she first started her career, she was the only woman competing and she worked tirelessly to get ski competitions to allow women’s events. Before her tragic accident in 2012, she succeeded in getting the women’s halfpipe
accepted.

“Sarah’s passion and memory is all around,” said Sarah’s husband and Foundation President, Rory Bushfield. “Our partnership with Activyst aims to keep her legacy and spirit alive by supporting others in sport.”

Activyst adds The Sarah Burke Foundation to its growing list of non-profit partners worldwide. The company sells their signature Active Bag, totes, cosmetic bags and tees to fund more opportunities in female sports, as girls who play sports are more educated and successful, more confident and happier.

“We believe strong girls create a strong world,” said Katie Rock, Founder of Activyst. “Sarah demonstrated strength in her skiing, attitude and fight for women’s sports. We’re honored to create a signature item representing such a powerful role model and icon.”

Purchase the tee at Activyst.com and learn more about Sarah on the Foundation’s website.
