Red Bull PlayStreets to return in 2013, invading streets of Bad Gastein

November 19th, 2012 by

After a one year hiatus from the competition scene, Red Bull PlayStreets is set to return February 23rd, 2013. The popular slopestyle competition through the streets of Bad Gastein, Austria makes it’s much anticipated return as a one of a kind contest. Past winners include Elias Ambühl (2011), Russ Henshaw (2009), Oscar Scherlin (2008), and Charles Gagnier (2007). “I think it looks really sick,” says PK Hunder. “A slopestyle through the city with a massive amount of people cheering you on all the way down! And you can win a Hollywood star in the street! That would be sick.”

With PlayStreets back on the schedule, it fills a void (albeit in a different discipline) left by Red Bull Cold Rush’s cancellation this season. Red Bull Linecatcher will also be an event this season in Vars, France, after being cancelled due to lack of snow last season.
