After winning "The Ultimate Ski Bum" contest put on by the fine folks at Tourism BC, Chris Tatsuno got to travel the Powder Highway for three months. Tatsuno referred to the Powder Highway as "a special place on earth". In episode 5 of the Powder Highway Road Trip, Tatsuno got a chance to go snowcat skiing in the Selkirk Wilderness. "Skiing in Selkirk was one of the best experiences of my trip. Not only was the snow amazing, I was snowcat skiing with the people who invented the snowcat operation. It was just a cool feeling and a good time." Along with skiing in Selkirk, Tatsuno also indulged in the fine canadian delicacy that is poutine thought his trip. He claims his favorite poutine was found in Whitewater and Nelson BC, which also happened to be his favorite place along his journey. "Nelson is a unique place with a special feel. The town is so radical and the people are nice". Although the journey is over, Tatsuno is already waiting for next season and the snow to fall. "I can't wait for next season. I want to get back into the freesking competition scene. From promoting it to hucking my meat in it, it's a fun circuit to be on." Make sure to be on the lookout for Tatsuno next season but for now check out the Powder Highway mini series and Tatsuno's other antics along the Powder Highway Road Trip.
