Now’s your chance to get DPS skis at the lowest possible cost

Salt Lake City-based DPS Skis is a brand that we get behind here at FREESKIER. Its high-performance skis repeatedly earn Editors’ Pick distinction in our annual Buyer’s Guide—the ultimate stamp of approval from our staff and ski testers who’ve skied just about every brand under the sun. Beyond producing top-notch boards, DPS has worked hard to foster an active community of die-hard fans; these supporters appreciate the fine craftsmanship of skis in addition to DPS’ support of environmental initiatives and multimedia projects.

DPS’ Dreamtime event is your only chance to grab a discounted pair of its brand new skis all year.

In an effort to give skiers more of what they want—great products for a great price, DPS is currently hosting their annual Dreamtime event. The sale, which runs until August 1, 2017, is the only time to buy these outstanding planks at a discount price. The event welcomes the unveiling of DPS’ 2017-18 line of skis as well as offering event-specific releases from the elite Powderworks division and limited-run artwork Special Edition skis. We’re particularly excited about the Special Edition Alchemist skis being offered with custom topsheets. So, take a gander at the below, find your favorite twigs and double check that bank account because now is the time to get your quiver set for winter.

The Powderworks

Powderworks Cassiar 87 — A quiver-killer for the resort-minded skier, the Cassiar 87 is constructed with a flex-pattern meant to pull you into the top of the turn. A tapered tail provides a less aggressive exit to your carve and ensures you’ll be in control no matter how choppy the snow gets.

Powderworks Yvette 112 — On this special release Yvette 112, the team at DPS has taken the feathery and universally popular shape of the ski and significantly reduced its weight with a Tour1 setup. Lightweight and meant to cruise through the deep end, you’ll be taking turns in any conditions from first chair to last.

Powderworks Nina 99 — At 99mm underfoot and sporting a new, lightweight Tour1 setup, the Nina 99 is as ready for the ascent as it is the way down. This ski’s tapered footprint along with an aggressive rockered profile make it an ideal setup for deep snow, crud and groomers.

The Special Editions

Alchemist Wailer 112 Special Edition — One of DPS’ signature skis, the Alchemist will make you ski better with its consistently powerful, yet playful design. On hard pack snow its ready to charge while its rockered profile provides that extra floaty feeling once the snow gets deep.

Alchemist Wailer 106 Special Edition — Utilizing the tried-and-true signature layup of the Alchemist model, the 106 has a different playfulness incorporated into its design. Light enough to call your touring ski, this model holds up equally as well in the chunder, carving a groomer or slarving through deeper snow.

Alchemist Wailer 99 Special Edition — Incorporating DPS’ original blend of rocker and variable sidecut, the Wailer 99 performs like a fatter ski than it is. A gradually rockered paddle provides enough lift to ski through deeper conditions, while the 18m underfoot turn radius is ready to slay turns on groomers.

Alchemist Yvette 112 Special Edition — The Alchemist Yvette 112 completes any one-ski quiver. These twigs give the loose and early planing feel of a fully rockered ski, yet they just as ready to carve down groomers because of their aggressive sidecut and a slight camber underfoot.

Alchemist Zelda 106 Special Edition — The Zelda 106 is one of DPS’ newest ski models and one its most versatile. Constructed with a flex pattern and rocker line that easily initiates turns, this ski finishes its carves with authority.

Nina 99 Special Edition — Based on the award-winning Yvette 112 design, the Nina 99 exhibits similar versatility in a narrower package. With its gradually rockered paddle, the Nina 99 ski is ready to perform in soft or mixed snow.

With such a wide array of styles and performance features, DPS offers an impressive lineup of skis heading into the 2017-18 ski season. This is the only time of the year these products will be available at a reduced price, so be sure to make your decision before August 1. And remember… never stop dreaming.
