Movie premiere season is here! Find out the who, what and where

August 23rd, 2011 by

The doors don't open for another two hours, but already a line has formed. Strangers become friends as they discuss what they're about to see; excitement fills the air.

Tonight is the world premiere. After a season full of ups and downs and having amassed a wealth of footage, the film crew has only recently emerged from the depths of their dark editing studios, having crafted their abundance of shots into a final piece. For the first time, they're ready to share their work.

To see the film is one thing, but to see it in the company of both the makers and the athletes themselves, it's a whole different ballgame. Handshakes, hugs and high fives will be exchanged, autographs will be signed, free schwag will shower the crowd, booze will flow, the lights will go down, hoots and hollers will emerge from the masses, and the opening credits will roll.

This fall, this very scene will play out at venues all around the world. Throngs of ski fanatics will flock to the shows, eager to fuel their stoke for the upcoming winter. And coming off a strong season, you can bet your bottom dollar that this year's flicks will be damn good.

A world premiere is marked by astounding energy; to be a part of the experience is unreal. To ensure you don't miss out on the fun we've compiled a list for you; these are the biggest, most awesomest premieres of the year. So read up, get your tickets early, and enjoy the show.

[Ed's note] Check back as we will update this post with the latest and greatest as it becomes available to us. Also, be sure to check out our 2011 Trailer Time page; it currently has 3+ hours of rockin' trailer action, and it's still growing.
