Media Announcement: Spyder and Battery621 will proudly host an evening with Chris Davenport during our June First Friday event on June 3rd. Davenport, a professional free ski mountaineer sponsored by Spyder, Kastle, and Red Bull, just climbed to the summit of Mount Everest and skied the Lhotse Face less than a week ago! This adds to his personal collection of mountaineering feats, including climbing and skiing all 54 of Colorado’s 14,000 ft. peaks in one calendar year.
He also produced, directed, and starred in a documentary about his mountaineering adventures with fellow Spyder teammate Stian Hagen in Antarctica during 2010 called Australis: An Antarctic Ski Odyssey.
Chris will be around for a media meet and greet from 5-7pm in the Spyder gallery, signing both of his books, 50 Classic Ski Descents of North America and Ski the 14ers. Earlier appointments are also available. We’ll also have signed large format photos for sale, with the proceeds benefiting the Colorado Avalanche Information Center.
Additionally, one lucky winner will go home with a full outerwear set from Dav’s personally designed White Spyder collection from Spyder’s 2011-2012 outerwear line.
