Kästle is pleased to announce the recent addition of Jaclyn (Jackie) Paaso to its Pro Team.
Jackie Paaso is based out of Squaw Valley, CA. Paaso joins Kästle after finishing 3rd overall in the 2010 Freeride World Tour (FWT). Her 2010 competition was on top of strong 2008 and 2009 seasons in both the World Freeskiing and FWT series with multiple podiums, including the coveted Sickbird Award at Snowbird in 2008. This season she hopes to bring the same competitive spirit to the FWT, where she’s again gunning for podium finishes. Paaso also hopes to pursue more film projects and produce her own ski segments.
“We’re excited to have signed Jackie to the Kästle Pro Team,” notes Siegfried Rumpfhuber, Kästle president. “We scouted the women’s scene very closely, specifically wanting to strengthen our female roster. Jackie showed really impressive performances last winter, and we have a strong belief in her skiing skills and ambitions. She shares Kästle’s passion for the sport and will compliment our strong, varied international team of skiers. We look forward to seeing her continue to push boundaries in women’s freeskiing.”
Paaso joins a dynamic, international group of skiers on the 2011 Kästle Pro Team, which now includes: Hugo Harrisson (CAN), Sascha Schmid (SUI), Chris Davenport (USA), Griffin Post (USA), Giulia Monego (ITA), Lorraine Huber (AUT), Karine Falck-Pedersen (NOR), and Jackie Paaso (USA).
“Jackie will be a real asset to our team,” notes Rumpfhuber. “We continue to target a variety accomplished athletes that are moving the margins of skiing both on the competition front and in the worldwide expeditions they partake in. Our athletes share an energetic drive for the sport that inspires all of us at Kästle.”
