January 23, 2012 (Wels, Austria) – Kästle is excited to announce Pro Team member Jaclyn “Jackie” Paaso’s podium top finish on the second stop of the Freeride World Tour in Chamonix, France. The six-stop freeskiing series continues for women in Roldal Norway on February 25th.

Jackie Paaso stole the show today with a trademark cliff jump on the lower part of the face taking first place in the women's ski category. Behind Jackie in second was Angel Collinson also from the US. And in third, was New Zealand rider Janina Kuzma. 

"I chose a line that suited my style and everything went as planned with two airs high on the face and another towards the end.  I'm really looking forward to the next contest in Norway, “said Paaso following her win.

We have been confident in her as a strong competitor, and an active brand ambassador,” says Siegfried Rumpfhuber, Kästle’s president. “We’re excited that her signature bold line choices and charging style delivered right into the finish line today. We look forward to supporting her as she pushes her competitive game ever higher the rest of this season.”

Last year was a busy one for Paaso, who set her sights on the 2011 Freeride World Tour Championship after a 3rd place finish in 2010. Despite a challenging early season, she pulled off an impressive victory in the Tour’s final event in Roldal, Norway, landing her in sixth place overall and securing her a position in the current tour.

The Swatch Freeride World Tour moves on to Italy with a quick transit to Courmayeur-Mont-Blanc for the third men's ski and snowboard contest of the season, then to Roldal, Norway in February, Fieberbrunn, Austria and finishing in Verbier, Switzerland for the men’s and women’s contests.
