By now, most of the industry’s biggest film trailers have been released to the world. Skiing enthusiasts have been hitting the replay button over and over, reveling in slow motion pow slashes and drooling in anticipation of a winter season that’s not far off. Soon, the films themselves will premiere. Having seen the full-length films, the very same people who were drooling over their keyboards will oftentimes transition to uncontrollable spasm, curable only with the first snowfall of the season.
It’s true. Film premieres are some of the most highly anticipated events for us skiers. And nothing is greater than a world premiere. Filmmakers, athletes, industry folk and fans join together in celebration of a season gone by, and applaud the feats of skiing’s most talented athletes. To make things easy for you, we’ve compiled a list of some of the biggest world premieres that will go down this fall; these are among the best parties of the year, and you won’t want to miss out.

iF3 Film Festival
Nike iF3 Montreal, QC (Sep 12-16); Annecy, FRA (Sep 28-30); Innsbruck, AUS (Oct 5-6)
iF3 is bigger than ever having expanded to four cities around the world, one edition having already taken place in Santiago, Chile earlier this month. Growing year after year, iF3 has solidified itself as one of the biggest events in the world of freeskiing. The list of films to be screened this year is expansive, to say the least. Many of the screenings are world premieres.
The parties are out of control. Freeskier will be co-hosting a show on Friday, September 14 featuring Mix Master Mike. It’ll be an event for the ages, no doubt.

The Meeting
Aspen, CO (September 27-29)
The 8th annual edition of The Meeting will invade Aspen between September 27-29. The “premier gathering of snowsports filmmakers, athletes, sponsors, media and fans,” The Meeting never fails to impress. Films are shown at the Wheeler Opera House and Belly Up. Production companies set to screen this year include MSP, PBP, TGR, Level 1 and Voleurz. The parties are legendary, and late September is an amazing time to enjoy Aspen. Freeskier will be there in full force.
