The International Freeski Film Festival (iF3) will host its inaugural Southern Hemisphere event this Friday with the first ever iF3-La Parva at Mallsport in Santiago. Hosted in conjunction with Sony Eye of the Condor, iF3-La Parva will feature film screenings, Eye of the Condor film and photography presentations, and the Eye of the Condor awards ceremony. A mix of world-class athletes and industry professionals are slated to be in attendance at the multi-sport complex beneath the slopes of La Parva.

“We're really excited to branch out the iF3 experience to South America, especially with a partner like La Parva and the Eye of the Condor competition,” says iF3 co-founder Felix Rioux. “Ski movie making has grown leaps and bounds in the past decade. It’s with these kinds of initiatives that skiers and cinematographers can pursue their passion, share it with the public and have a great party- all in true ski spirit.”

Unique to the iF3-La Parva format, the event will be one night only and produced in collaboration with the Sony Eye of the Condor awards ceremony. “Hosting the first iF3 event in the Southern Hemisphere is truly the perfect finale to Eye of the Condor,” says La Parva’s Director of Sales and Marketing Rodrigo Medina. “Eye of the Condor is not only a contest, but also a celebration of skiing and Chilean mountain culture. There’s no better way to bring this spirit to the people of Santiago and the rest of the world than iF3.”

The evening kicks off at 6:00PM with an athlete meet and greet, autograph session, and screening of Sherpas Cinema’s “All.I.Can,” immediately followed by the Eye of the Condor screenings and award ceremony. This event is free of charge, and open to the public.
