Did you know Mt. Baker received over 72 feet of snow this season?

It’s been a truly solid season for just about everyone in the Western U.S. From Colorado to Utah to California—ample powder days were had by all and skiers took notice. But it seems that Mt. Baker, Washington somehow got slightly left behind among all the buzz. And that’s pretty damn astounding because the resort received 866 inches of snow this season—AKA over 72 feet…

Dive deeper into the numbers and you’ll find that the resort had 68 days this season with five or more inches of fresh snow; 52 with eight or more; 29 with 10 or more; and 16 with 14 or more. March alone saw 269 inches—22.5 feet…

Now that May is upon us and Mt. Baker is closed for the season, it’s time to reflect on all that snow and share some of the good times it provided for on-snow enthusiasts. Browse through some mega-deep memories, below, and never underestimate this Washingtonian skiing haven.
