Colorado Powder Forecast: Weekend powder!

Colorado Powder Forecast for week of Feb. 24

    HIGHLIGHTS

  • Snowing Fri in central/northern mtns
  • Sat/Sun snow will focus on San Juans
  • Warmer temps = bit heavier snow

It's going to be a complicated weekend (for a weather forecaster), but hopefully a happy weekend if you want to ski powder in Colorado.

A two-part storm will swing through over the next three to four days, with part one favoring the central and northern mountains on Friday and part two favoring the southern mountains on Saturday and Saturday night.

From about Aspen on north to the I-70 areas, the best shot at skiing deep powder will be late Friday afternoon or early Saturday morning. After that time, the focus of the snow shifts to the San Juans where Wolf Creek, Silverton, and Purgatory will pick up some big snow.

Stay tuned to www.ColoradoPowderForecast.com for the details as the weekend storm rolls in.
