Colorado Powder Forecast: A Thin White Line

Colorado Powder Forecast: A Thin White Line

Colorado Powder Forecast for week of Mar. 17

    HIGHLIGHTS

  • Dumping in Steamboat on Thursday
  • Hopefully heavy snow over I-70 tonight
  • Sunny & warm this weekend

Spring means bright sun, soft snow, awesome apres ski conditions, and yes – sometimes a bit too much warmth. While a cold front is keeping temperatures cool around Steamboat this morning, the rest of the state is rather warm with snow levels up to 9,500ft.

A thin band of heavy snow will dump on Steamboat today, and with any luck this band will sag just far enough south to coat the I-70 mountains with a good bit of snow on Thursday night – making Friday morning a good time to ride.

And then comes a very warm weekend that might feel more like April than March. It won't be until Monday night and Tuesday (March 21-22) that the next storm will return the state with cooler air and some light snow.

Stay tuned to www.ColoradoPowderForecast.com for the details as the next few storms roll through.
