I had the honor of putting together a memorial video for Leif Borgeson, legendary ski patroller [and Snow Safety Director] for Arapahoe Basin. He passed away from a heart attack while hiking Highlands Bowl a couple weeks back, and we had a memorial service for him this past thursday.

Over 800 people showed up to celebrate his life. Flight for Life arranged for Tony Cammarato and myself to pick up his ashes and have them flown to Arapahoe for the service. On the journey we flew over several patrols that paid their respects to Leif. It was one of the most powerful experiences of my long career in the community of professional skiers.

I was asked by Allen Henceroth, COO of Arapahoe Basin, to build a memorial piece for Leif… With the help of the amazing mountain communities from around the world, I was able to build a piece I feel does honor to Leif's memory.

On behalf of the Freeskier staff, our condolences to Leif's family and friends, and all who were touched by this loss.
