Six of 12 women advanced through Wednesday’s superpipe qualifier, and this afternoon those six ladies dropped into Breck’s 22′ pipe once again—this time with Dew Cup glory on the line. Competitors had two runs to strut their stuff—best run counting in the end.

Despite greybird conditions, the pipe was cut to perfection and the snow was fast. Anais Caradeux (FRA), Ayana Onozuka (JPN), Keltie Hansen (CAN), Roz Groenewoud (CAN), Maddie Bowman (USA) and Brita Sigourney (USA) squared off and threw down an array of impressive runs.

Placing third today was Roz G. Roz’s run consisted of a lofty straight air mute on the right wall to open, a 900, 540, rightside 5, 360 and a switch 5 to close. Roz’s efforts earned her an even 84.

Landing in second place was Maddie Bowman, with a score of 87.25. Bowman opened her run with a sizable rightside 900 and followed up with a 540, a straight air, a 900, a rightside 7 and a switch 540 to close. Maddie’s execution of 900s in both directions was outstanding.

Topping the field today was Brita Sigourney. Brita got the job done on her first run, starting off with a big ol’ alley-oop, and linking her opener with a 900, alley-oop 5, a 540, rightside 5 and a 720 to close. Brita maintained solid amplitude from start to finish. Big air and tech tricks coupled with smooth style earned Brita a 90.25, the Dew Cup and the coveted bragging rights. Not to mention a bag full of AFP points.
