Snowmass will have a solid opening with 805 acres served by 8 lifts. The Village Express from the mid-station will get you Upper Scooper, Velvet Falls, Dwadler, Hal’s Hollow and Fanny Hill. The VX from the Summit will access Max Park, Lunchline and Banzai Ridge. Sam’s Knob Chair will operate servicing Fast Draw to Slot.
The Burn Chair opens for the season, as does the Big Burn from Whispering Jesse to Sneaky’s including Timberline, Wineskin, Dallas Freeway and Mick’s Gully. Up 4 Pizza has the hot cookies and pizza ready.
On the east side, the Elk Camp Gondola accesses the Meadows Beginner Area (and the Meadows Lift). The Elk Camp Chair gets you to Bull Run, Grey Wolf, Bear Bottom, Gunner’s View and Sandy Park. This pod will have the best skiing in our resort tomorrow. Egress back to Fanny Hill and Base Village is via Adam’s Avenue.
Isabelle Farlardeau (SM Terrain Parks) has crafted a mini pocket park on Water Plant Flats that give the valley park riders the first taste of metal and skate-lite. She has several boxes and rails and some urban jib features.
Check out the newly remodeled Ullrhof Restaurant with a revamped menu featuring a selection of burgers and shakes. Sam’s Smokehouse opens on December 11th, but you can use the bathrooms and warm up after laps on the Knob. Sneaky’s is open for après (as well as lunch and dinner) in Base Village.
On Aspen Mountain Walsh’s, Kristi’s and Hyrup’s open in addition to all of Bell Mountain, Jackpot, Copper Bowl and Slalom Hill. Aspen Mountain will have 476 acres available on opening day.
