The Revolution continues as the Under Armour® War of Rails returns for the fifth consecutive year. The world’s top freeski talent travels to sunny California and takes over Bear Mountain Resort for the ultimate jam session.
This year’s competition is shaping up to be the biggest and best yet, as Under Armour® War of Rails proudly welcomes Red Bull® to the team of partners.
“I am psyched to be working with Red Bull. They have always been at the forefront of event-related innovation, and I’m confident that our partnership will contribute nicely to the creative reputation we’ve worked hard to achieve,” said Craig Coker, War of Rails founder and event producer. “Finding like-minded partners can be tough, and we couldn’t be happier to have Red Bull as a supporter of what UAWoR is doing. We’re also very fortunate to have Under Armour back as the title sponsor. They play a huge part of UAWoR and it couldn’t be possible without them.”
When asked about the 2014 course design, Mr. Coker would not remark in detail, simply stating, “I’ve been working exclusively with Clayton Shoemaker [Director of Park Development] at Bear to come up with a very unique design. It’ll be revolutionary.”
“We are honored to have UAWoR return for the fifth year. It is the most spectacular freeski event in the nation!” said Rio Tanbara, Bear Mountain Director of Marketing.
World-renowned broadcaster and long time supporter of UAWoR, Luke Van Valin, will be back on the microphone alongside comedian Reed “Speedman” Holm, emceeing the event.
“UAWoR is what skiing is all about: sunny days, amazing spectacles, great music, and I love that it’s right at the base of Bear Mountain, where an energetic crowd is always sure to build,” said Van Valin, head onsite and live stream announcer of UAWoR.
