Watch out, Tinder: New LuvByrd app connects single skiers and outdoorists alike

Single? Like spending time outside? Then you might want to download LuvByrd, a free app—available for both iPhone and Android—that just launched with the sole goal of intimately connecting outdoor enthusiasts. We know this might sound a little funny at first, but hey, it’s worth a shot if you’re in the market, right?

LuvByrd has existed solely as a website since 2014, and after two stellar years of match-making, the company decided to take the next step of its own relationship and dive into the app scene. Right now, LuvByrd services are only available in Colorado, but plans are in the works for a national launch in one month.

“We’re excited to bring this new feature to LuvByrd’s community in Colorado,” said founder Mike Keshian in a press release. “Our users are always on the move, looking for that next adventure, so offering an app was a no-brainer.”

Take it or leave it, but this app might have some potential when it comes to your love life, which you most likely ignored all winter long. So, if you’re considering downloading—even just a little bit—then let ‘er rip!

Press release from LuvByrd:

Finding a mate to join your weekend hikes and early morning touring expeditions just got easier.  LuvByrd, the dating platform for outdoor enthusiasts, has launched an app to pair with their already popular website.  Available for iPhone and Android for free, the app enables users to browse possible soul mates and communicate with matches on the go.

Through the app, users can browse matches, choosing to “<3” (like) or “X” (hide) profiles, send messages and update account settings.  There are no restrictions on gender or timing when it comes to making the first move with LuvByrd.  The simple format focuses on helping singles make connections and begin getting to know each other in their most comfortable environments – mountains, lakes, beaches and trails.

“We’re excited to bring this new feature to LuvByrd’s community in Colorado,” said founder Mike Keshian.  “Our users are always on the move, looking for that next adventure, so offering an app was a no-brainer.”

LuvByrd came on the scene in 2014, filling a niche for adventurous singles who wanted to filter through the local dating scene and find a like-minded partner for outdoor activities.  The site currently has experienced tremendous growth throughout the Denver area, and plans to launch in additional markets this summer.
