5th annual High Fives bocce tourny slated for 9/15, Truckee River Winery

Proceeds benefit the High Fives Foundation; the Tahoe-based non-profit supporting injured winter action sports athletes.

Join the High Fives Non-Profit Foundation at the 5th Annual Bocce Tournament presented by Squaw Valley | Alpine Meadows, GoPro and the Truckee River Winery. As a staple, marquee event in the High Fives Foundation event calendar draws near; excitement builds for this celebrated day of bonding over the bocce courts.

Register today for the Sunday, September 15 event in person at the CR Johnson Healing Center, online at www.bocce.highfivesfoundation.org or by calling (530) 587.4453. The cost to participate is $100 per two-person team. Space is limited to the first forty teams to register. Teams will compete for amazing prizes and bragging rights while raising funds for winter action sports athletes that have suffered a life-altering injury.

Who: The High Fives Foundation and local philanthropically minded Bocce enthusiasts. Forty teams of two are recommended to dress in themed costumes.

Why: To raise money and awareness for athletes that have suffered a life-altering injury while pursuing a dream in the winter action sports community. Money raised supports a variety of High Fives Foundation endeavors such as the purchase of rehabilitative and adaptive equipment as well as funding for alternative healing and therapies.

What: A fun and relaxed bocce ball tournament. Participants will enjoy fine wine from the Truckee River Winery (for those 21+), as well as food from local food trucks, Cabot Creamery Cooperative and PopChips.
