New Mexico’s stand-out big-mountain competition, the Taos Freeride Competition, is back for its 11th edition in 2016. The ski area will host a two-star FWQ event on March 3rd, with 100 men and women skiers and snowboarders vying to top the podium and secure a spot in the four-star Taos Freeride Competition.

The four-star contest will take place in the famed West Basin—full of cliffs, chutes and numerous other natural features—on March 4th and 5th. Check the gallery above to get a taste of the competition, and head to this link to grab one of the non-seeded spots at the contest.
