The backcountry slopestyle discipline was scheduled for day three of the 2016 edition of Red Bull Cold Rush, but heavy snowfall on the course caused event organizers to cancel the contest for the day. Without competition obligations, the athletes of Cold Rush took to the slopes for a day of pow skiing with friends. Just take a gander at the above photos to see how much fun the athletes were having.

The next night, competitors took to the Roxy Theatre in Revelstoke to review footage of the contest and decide the winners of Red Bull Cold Rush 2016. In the end, Angel Collinson took first for the women, with Tatum Monod and Lexi Dupont coming in second and third, respectively. On the men’s side, it was Kye Petersen atop the podium, followed by John Collinson and Greg Hope. Congratulations to the competitors.
