Ultimately partying is a part of the ski lifestyle. An important part of it. From a bunch of guys in greasy Carhartts bathed in the glow of a neon beer sign drinking High-Lifes under a taxidermic wall in Driggs to the dolled-up girls and fancy dressing guys at Heavenly... to a bunch of dudes smokin’ herbal remedies for what ails them (under the direction of a medical professional, of course) in a cabin outside of Crested Butte... to the raging club scene and red carpets of Aspen... to the epic patio scene of the Whistler Village that powers on long into the night... to the fur lined, gift-bag Hollywood invasion of spring in Park City....
At all of those places, partying is skiing. And skiing is always a party. And all of those places deserve, for their own reason and their own crowd, to be number one.
Remember mind-altering substances aren’t necessary to expand your mind (unless you count the adrenaline still coursing through your veins from a great day on skis). So check out some of the other nonserious on-hill life including, Squaw’s Pain McSchlonkey Open, your local Gaper Day dress-up madness or end of season pond skim. (Our favorite is at Big Sky, MT, featuring a double pond line. Look it up on YouTube.) And of course the biggest events of the season—Dew Tours in Breckenridge, Killington and Snowbasin; the Dumont Cup; the X Games; the AFP World Championships in Whistler—and the numerous concerts and free events around them.
And don’t ever forget that the number one place to party is always right where you are.
