Biography

This California girl has been skiing for as long as she has been walking; she joined the Alpine Meadows Freestyle Team when she was just eight years old. In 2011 she earned herself a silver medal in halfpipe at Winter X, and she followed up with X Games bronze in 2012. In February of 2013, at the Olympic test event in Sochi, Brita suffered a broken collarbone, along with an injured shoulder and a reinjured knee. Brita Sigourney was back on snow in October, and went on to take a big win at the Grand Prix at Copper Mountain in December. Being the fierce competitor that she is, she took home 6th place at the first-ever women’s Olympic halfpipe final in Sochi, Russia.
