Beau-James Wells – Skier biography and profile
Along with brothers Jossi, Byron and Jackson, Beau-James Wells is a part of New Zealand’s first family of skiing. The now 18-year-old Wells has been competing in halfpipe, big air and slopestyle events since 2009, but really broke through whne he took home 2nd in halfpipe at the 2013 The North Face New Zealand Freeski Open and then 3rd in big air at the 2013 One Hit Wonder Down Under. Since then, Beau-James has skied strong, taking home a 6th place finish in the halfpipe at The North Face Park and Pipe Open Series at Copper and 5th at the Dew Tour at Breckenridge. Wells then went on to compete in the first-ever men’s Olympic halfpipe final, taking home a 6th place finish.
