New Hampshire’s Whaleback Mountain to close

Whaleback Mountain announced on its blog yesterday that it will shut down its lifts at the end of this season, after eight years of operation under Evan Dybvig and his cohorts, citing an inability to pay down its debt.

It is with deep regret that Frank, Dylan and I, owners and managing members, inform you that we have no option but to close our business. We sincerely hope that our departure is not the end of skiing and riding at Whaleback.
