Press Release, Giro and Momentum Ski Camp:

Giro Sport Design, the industry leader in progressive snow helmet, snow goggles and innovative technologies, has announced a summer camp sponsorship partnership with Momentum Ski Camp as the official helmet partner for their 2014 sessions.

“Momentum Ski Camp defines progression in freestyle skiing, is the off-season training grounds of our top team athletes, and showcases the capabilities of Giro’s products,” said Brendan Murphey, Giro Brand Manager. “Momentum is the best freeski terrain park in North America and the summer hotbed of next-level freestyle skiing progression. Momentum Ski Camp embodies the same passion for progression and evolution of sport as we do at Giro. We are beyond excited to partner with the camp to help cultivate the next generation of freestyle skiers.”

Terrain parks and summer freestyle camps like Momentum Ski Camp is where Giro staff and team riders test and develop new products like the Combyn, the flagship Soft Shell helmet inspired by park and pipe riding where repeated impacts are the inevitable price of progression, and the Blok goggle, a versatile goggle designed with team rider input which blends superior EXV technology and function with classic style. The Momentum Ski Camp relationship brings Giro together with organizations committed to progressing freestyle skiing. Momentum Ski Camp attendees will see an increased Giro brand presence on the hill and on campers, camp staff and coaches in Giro helmets like the Combyn, during special events, as well as in marketing collateral and social media.

“Momentum Camps gives kids the opportunity to ski and learn from the best skiers in the world.” said John Smart, Momentum Ski Camps Director. “Our sponsors are partners in this operation and sponsors like Giro provides awesome prizes for these kids to win at camp. Giro sponsors many of our top coaches and supports our crew and diggers who are the backbone to building and maintaining our terrain park on a daily basis. And, we’re stoked that Giro will be building and adding their own unique feature to our terrain park this year.”

Momentum Ski Camp plans to have five camp sessions over the summer months beginning on June 20, 2014 through July 28, 2014. Camp attendees can expect to see Giro athlete and Sochi Olympic Gold Medalist Joss Christensen as a Momentum coach this summer. Additional Giro athlete coaches include Justin Dorey, Riley Leboe, Mike Riddle, and Alex Schlopy.
