Reports today suggest Source Interlink’s Grind Media—the “action sports, adventure, and lifestyle group,” owners of magazine titles including Powder, Surfer, Surfing and Snowboarder—has purchased Transworld Media from the Florida-based Bonnier group.

The big question among industry insiders is, “What will Source do with the various titles?” Now living under the Source umbrella: Surf, Surfer and Surfing, along with Skateboarder and Skateboarding, and Snowboarder and Snowboarding—among many others. How Source will choose to organize these titles is of great interest (and perhaps concern) to many.
