FatCat racks are a sleek offering from Yakima and a great way to keep your skis from poking you in the back of the head while you drive to and from the mountains. The racks are available in two models: FatCat 4 which holds up to four pairs of skis and FatCat 6 which holds, you guessed it, six pairs.

A clever hinge design keeps the racks very low profile while an included locking mechanism keeps your skis from walking away with somebody else. If you don’t have Yakima bars there’s no cause for concern as the FatCats are made to fit almost any system and installs in just a few minutes. Universal mounting hardware is included and attaches to Yakima bars as well as square bars from the other guys and most factory bars. If you need a little extra clearance, the integrated lift will accommodate that too. With all these options, it’s hard to go wrong.
