The first thing we noticed about the Team Series III Jacket and Pants is how durable the 2-layer polyester material is. Both of these pieces, from Norwegian-based Sabotage SB, can definitely take a beating, whether it be rails, cement or your dog chewing on them. They sport a progressive fit and clean styling that give them a sharp look.

The jacket has 80 grams of insulation in the body, with 60 grams filling out the hood and arms as well as large, zippered vents underneath for when things get a little warm. The four pockets found on the front are zippered, underneath flaps which are held down by buttons and/or velcro. Hidden underneath the center flap is a media pocket, with eyelets for your cord running up toward the collar on the inside. On the interior you’ll find a quilted taffeta lining as well as a soft fleece chin lining while down low you’ll find a removable powder skirt paired with wrist gaiters to keep the snow out.

The Team Pant, with an adjustable waistband, is also an insulated piece with 40 grams running throughout, and a taffeta lining to back it up. As with the jacket, the 2-layer laminate on the exterior is rated at 5K/5K waterproof and breathable, which is a little on the low side, but will stand up to most weather that isn’t severe (maybe leave them at home if you’re heading out on an arctic expedition). There are jean-style pockets on the pants as well as two lower cargo pockets. The front hand pockets have inverted flaps which are an interesting design feature but also susceptible to ice and snow buildup. The cuffs of the pants have nice functionality to them though, with zippers, velcro, gaiters and a snap to hold them out from under your boots when you’re walking around.
