The Lobes are known for their superior field of vision thanks to its unique spherical lens. To minimize optical distortion the lens is a perfectly shaped surface. The lens is made of polycarbonate, perfectly tapered in thickness and cut to shape using computerized numerical control. Another thinner sheet of cellulose propionate is applied to the inside. Lenses are anti-fog and anti-scratch treated.
