The Ortovox 3+ Avalanche Transceiver is a minimalist beacon that still packs in everything you’d expect from a three-antennae transceiver. The central screen can display up to three targets during a multiple burial situation and shows “4+” in the event of additional victims. A flagging button helps to mark found signals, expediting the search for additional transmissions. If a secondary avalanche occurs during rescue, the beacon’s motion sensor can identify immobility and automatically revert to transmit mode.
